Restricted Access Screw Pile Installation in Ealing

  • The client was developing a site in the back garden of an existing house in Ealing

  • The site had only the side pedestrian gate for access 800mm wide

  • Existing trees meant that there was restrictions on heavy equipment and excavation within the root protection areas

  • 1

Following an onsite survey we proposed to utilise a helical pile foundation with reinforced concrete capping beam and to balance the proposed surrounding landscaped ground levels slightly.

  • 2

The result was a foundation system which required minimal excavation and could be install quickly and efficiently (within 4 weeks).

  • 3

In conjunction with the adjusted landscape levels it meant no material had to be transported from site.

  • 4

Only the screw piles went down into the root areas resulting in minimal impact and allowing construction over root protection zones.

  • 5

The ground beams were manufactured offsite which meant they could be installed quickly and efficiently with no cutting on site resulting in less noise and disruption to the local residents.

We also installed the cess tank and sustainable urban drainage systems.
